Breaking the Hunching Habit

Do you frequently find yourself hunching forward in your desk chair as you worn on the computer? Your computer screen serves to dominate all of your awareness, making you almost entirely unconscious of your posture and how it is affecting your body. Fortunately, there are measures you can take to remind yourself of proper ergonomics.

Try placing two tennis balls between your back and the back of your char, one on either side of your spine. As you hold the tennis balls in place, your body will be constantly aware of your back and you will remember to not hunch forward. Further, you can lean back into the balls to trigger an acupressure effect that encourages blood flow and relaxes your muscles. This can do wonders to encourage good ergonomics and maintain a healthy back.
