Sometimes, you may be lucky enough that your back pain only needs an appointment or two. In general, though, there’s a lot to be said in favor of getting regular massages and chiropractic care.
This is according to a study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine back in 2011. This study looked at 230 adults with back pain, sorting them into three groups. The first two groups underwent regular yoga or stretching exercises over a three month period. The third groups was only given advice on how to care for their own back pain with exercise and lifestyle changes. At the end of the study, the participants in the first two groups both were experiencing less back pain than those in the third group.
What this study shows us is that regular, professional treatment does a lot more to maintain a healthy back than advice and self-care. With this in mind, consider making our Edmonds chiropractic a bigger part of your routine. Contact us today to learn more about what chiropractic care can do for you.
